If you hear a high pitched noise coming from your computer, your power supply is too weak. You need to purchase a newer higher watt power supply. Maybe you were building a PC, maybe you bought a new video card and now the PS is making a whining noise. You can go online to Newegg.com and use their power supply calculator. My rule of thumb, if they say you need around 650 watts, go buy a 750 watt power supply. That will take care of that annoying noise.

Windows 7 crashes and/or Internet explorer 8 crashes randomly. I have a system with 6GB of ram DDR3 3x2GB with a CL of 9 9 9 24 and I added an addition 6GB of DDR3 3x2GB with CL of 8 8 8 24.  Both DDR3-1600.  My Gigabyte motherboard was set on auto and set all the ram chips to 7 7 7 16. I took it off auto and manually set it to the slower ram of 9 9 9 24. So far it has been running fine. Fingers crossed.

This happens because the machine gets orphaned due to its own local security policies. Each machine has a computer account password with the domain and if the machine reverts back to a snapshot older than 30 days you get the above message. Easy fix, login locally and disjoin from the domain, reboot, and rejoin. (Don’t forget to reset the computer account in active directory.) Also here is where the local policy setting is.
